Practice your test online & offline
So, you want to be a ham or you are one and you want to upgrade your license but you don't want to go to the test session not knowing if you can pass the test. What do you do? Practice the test online for free at qrz.com, eham.net and AA9PW.com. The ARRL has also made it's exam software available for download. You can install their software to your machine to take practice exams. This is a great option if you are going to be at an ARRL VEC session like the BARC VE team sessions. http://www.arrl.org/arrlvec/examwin/

OARC - Ogden Amateur Radio Club
Submitted by kd7yko on Sat, 2007-11-17 15:53One of the Ogden Amateur Radio Club's signature events are the annual Steak Fry with officer elections at the end of their club year in August. I can see some benefits from switching the fiscal year a few months early. From their site and newsletters it appears they have an interest in both emergency preparedness and contesting. A good round mix. They will be joining up with DCARC in 2008 for a joint swap meet. You can learn more about them at their site, http://www.ogdenarc.org/
