ARES prepares for Flooding

On Wednesday April 19th, members of ARES under the direction of N7UWX Tyler Griffiths, met with Sgt Daron Henrie Director of Emergency Management for the County. Sgt. Henrie updated the group of flooding, and preventative measures that are taking place, along with potential plans to activate the EOC. The group then received training on the Motorola Centracom system from Mandy (sorry I forgot her last name). The centracom is a radio dispatch system.

Afterwards the group hung a few cabinets in the EOC radio room and installed the Amateur radios to be ready for the flood. About a dozen members of ARES were on hand for this event.
